Minnesota's Forgotten Need

I have heard alot of talk the past couple of weeks about the needs of Minnesota Vikings in the upcoming NFL Draft. Many people have speculated that Colt McCoy, Mt. Cody, and somebody named Travis Lewis. Although these needs are the most glaring and probably the ones the team will focus on, I have found another.

The Problem

As many of you know this is Chester Taylor's contract year in Minnesota. Though i think Minnesota will try and resign him, we need to look ahead to the future. Another problem is the dilemma of Jimmy Kliensasser. Jimmy has been a loyal player and a even more loyal blocker. He has paved the way for many a Vikings touchdown. The Problem my friends of Purple Tundra is the absence of these two men in future Viking's teams. We need a runner, a blocker, and someone who can catch the ball. If you haven't figured it out by now, I am talking about a fullback.

The What?

Yes, the fullback. NO, they haven't all died and are still commonly used in the college ranks. Friends we need a combo of Mike Allstot and Larry Centers, if people can still remember who they were. Someone who could give Adrian a spell, knock over future star Clay Matthews, and out run Lance Briggs out of the backfield. Now if that description does not leave your mouth watering for more, then you must be a fan of MLS.

Who can do that?

Many of our current Nfl players have this ability. People like Michael Turner or Leron McClain are very capable men.If any of you watched the Army-Navy game, you might have looked on with glee as 240 pound men were running like 180 pound scatbacks. These are the Juggernauts of which i speak. Now this man will not get rid of Adrian Peterson, Shiancoe, or even McKinnie, but simply be able do each of their jobs. Adrian needs a rest, boom we got a guy. Shiancoe is being covered to well, blam we got a guy. McKinnie fell asleep on the job again, haha we got a guy. Well i have found some men who can fill this role.

Meet the future thunders to Adrian's Lightning: Garrett Graham, Rashawn Jackson, Toby Gerhart, Charles Scott, Ben Tate, Anthony Dixon, Colin Peek, Nate Byham, and even wild card LeGarrette Blount. All of these men, could be groomed into future star fullbacks. Fans of the Norse Men, you have read about the promise land and have heard of what it can do.
