Rey Mysterio vs. Undertaker? This Won't Be a One-on-One Match
Last night on Smackdown, we saw Rey Mysterio beat Batista to become the No. 1 Contender for the Undertaker's World Heavyweight Championship. This was a surprise to me since I did not read the spoilers for the show.
Rey vs. Undertaker will not end up being a one on one match. These two guys are both in need of surgery and I don't think that they would have the two top faces of the show go at it without a heel in the mix.
I know face vs. face matches work sometimes, but not in this case. Batista won't be on the sidelines for the Rumble.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
I think that within the next few weeks we will see Batista thrown into the Title match. Most likely because of an angle where he threatens Teddy Long until he caves and gives Batista the shot.
Batista is continuing his feud with Rey while beginning another with Taker; the three-way match just seems likely. With these three guys, I think we could see one hell of a match.
We all know what The Undertaker and Batista can do together, add the high flying Rey Mysterio in there and you have the potential for something very entertaining. I think Batista will walk away from the Rumble with the belt for two reasons.
1. Rey and Undertaker both need surgery and are likely to take a break before Wrestlemania.
2. Batista has been talking about retirement, so he will probably be given another run with the belt.
While I like all three of these guys, I think I would want to see Rey win the most because in my opinion he deserves it.
This guy is like so many others who have literally given their health for the sake of entertaining the fans. His in ring skill is amazing and even with all his problems he can still fly with the best of them.
I know it probably won't happen, but that would be my ideal outcome to the Rumble title match.
