Ndamukong Suh still projected No. 1 by Mock Database
The NFL Mock Draft Database has been updated much over the past few days because of the announcement that Jake Locker would return to Washington for his senior year. The Database features 129 mock drafts from across the spectrum, from NFL scouts, to fan site, to professional blogs, to amateur blogs.
There have been a total of 25 mock drafts updated since 12/15, when Locker made his announcement. DC Pro Sports Report has munched those 25 mocks together and have a new Top 6 leaders up at the Database. So here are the updated Top 6 leaders.
1st Overall Pick:
Ndamukong Suh. Suh is now the projected CONSENSUS leader as the top pick, hitting 60% of projection mocks updated between 12/15 and 12/17. Of the 25 updated mock drafts, 15 project Suh first overall. Suh is ranked by many NFL Draft experts and analysts as the best overall player in the NFL Draft. Many also though Suh should have received more consideration than he did for the Heisman Trophy. Although Suh did not win the Heisman, he may get the top prize, which is the first pick and biggest contract. The decision to take Suh first will likely be decided by which NFL franchise lands the top pick.
2nd Overall Pick:
Ndamukong Suh. Most mocks that did not project Suh first overall, project him 2nd overall. Suh garnered 10 of the 25 projections. Running a close second place with 9 mock projections is QB Jimmy Clausen. Clausen announced a week and a half ago he would leave Notre Dame and enter the NFL Draft. He is widely regarded as the likely top quarterback taken in this draft. Clausen threw for 3,722 yards and tossed 28 TDs and only 4 interceptions. Read More→
