The incident occurred in Charlotte, where Tonga's parents reside. Henry has been away from the Bengals because of a broken forearm. He was placed on injured reserve following the Nov. 8 game against Baltimore.
Henry's history of arrests and suspensions is no secret. After numerous chances, he was cut by the Bengals in April 2008. Against much criticism, Mike Brown decided to give Henry another chance to turn his life around.
It worked.
Henry seemed to be more mature and more focused on his three children. He stayed out of trouble and on the field. His exceptional ability as a football player made him a dangerous weapon for the Bengals. Carson Palmer was especially proud of Henry's attitude and dedication to his family and football.
May God bless Chris Henry and his family. He was 26 years old.
