Does a Tiger Woods Divorce Mean an Immediate Return to Golf?
With the latest Tiger Woods news hitting the airwaves last night, one question really remains: When will one of the greatest golfers return to the game?
It appears as though Woods will soon be heading back to his bachelor days, but I doubt he’ll be back to his old-school ways anytime soon.
But I could be wrong.
Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, has every right to leave Tiger; there’s no doubt about that.
In fact, Nordegren would likely disagree with me about Woods not going back to his old-school ways, as she feels he is never going to change.
She could be right.
Maybe Tiger will return as the bad boy of golf.
Maybe he won’t return at all.
I highly doubt the latter though; Woods has been playing golf his entire life, and I am fairly certain he loves the game just as much as life itself.
Talking to my best friend last night, I asked him if he thought Woods would immediately return to golf once the divorce is finalized.
His answer?
“Of course he will. What else is he going to do? I mean, I guess there’s always Vegas, right?”
As much as Vegas may fit Woods to a T right now, my guess is he’ll be back to making those long drives and amazing putts in the very near future.
Rumors have also begun circulating that Nordegren is discussing a deal to endorse Puma, a major competitor to Nike, in the wake of the Woods' sex scandal.
Regardless, this Tiger mess looks to finally be reaching a nasty conclusion.
But at least it’s coming to an end.
To be honest, this is really a very sad story; and the people that are hurt the most from Tiger’s misfits are his soon to be ex-wife and kids.
But that will likely all soon be behind him, as Nordegren and the kids appear to be heading to Sweden, and never looking back.
The next question: When will Tiger return to the golf course?
If Woods wants to wear a Holiday Inn Express smile with a new babe on his arm every tournament, so be it.
I think most people are just ready for Woods do what he does best; and that’s play golf…
