TLC Pay-Per-View Aftermath

I have to admit that I was very surprised with some of the events at the WWE TLC pay-per-view.  But let me open by saying that TLC is the name of the match...it is NOT the name of a pay-per-view.  The old names were at least original and didn't overdo the gimmick matches.  Moving on...

Sheamus as the WWE champion?  I like him as a future champion and this is probably only a trial run, but I still thought it was WAY too soon.  Now, if he stayed on ECW and won the ECW title like Jack Swagger did, that would be a different story.  But he only spent a couple months on Raw before winning the big prize.

Regardless, Cena will regain the title at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.  They love boosting his stats.  That will make him...what...an 8-time world champion?  By the way, superstar of the year should have been Randy Orton in my opinion.  He had one hell of a year until Cena came along and ruined it.

Drew McIntyre is the new intercontinental champion.  Not as shocking as what Sheamus did, but I think Dolph Ziggler should be pissed.  He got 5 or 6 IC title matches and couldn't win one, but Drew McIntyre gets the win on his first?  They aren't even doing much with Dolph Ziggler anymore.  WWE just wasted everyone's time.  Too bad, because Dolph Ziggler, despite the awful name, is really talented.

DX winning was predictable.  I'm glad Batista didn't win, because now we can see Chris Jericho (who is officially split up from Big Show and exclusive to Smackdown) win the WHC to set a rivalry with the soon-to-return Edge.

By the way, this is an early prediction, but Edge returns to win the Royal Rumble...Edge vs. Jericho at WM26 for the WHC.  Speaking of Wrestlemania, a rematch between Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker?  Crap.  It was the best match of the year and the rematch won't live up to the hype...they shouldn't do this...but Shawn already issued the challenge...sigh...

The Randy Orton v. Kofi Kingston rivalry is shaping up nicely.  I'm really enjoying it.  I'm looking for Kofi to win MITB at WM26 this year.  I hope Orton and Kingston keep it up  and conclude the rivalry at No Way...I mean...Elimination Chamber.  It would give Orton a chance to be the bigger man and allow Kingston to get a big swing of Momentum going into MITB, in his own hometown of St. Louis no less.

Christian is still ECW champion and I no longer know what they are trying to do there.  I've stopped trying to understand.  But Jack Swagger needs a revival and maybe reclaiming the ECW title from Christian would be perfect (Swagger faces Yoshi Tatsu on the next ECW to advance in the ECW title tournament.)

Anyway, that's it for the TLC pay-per-view.  On to the Royal Rumble!  And Batista looks really good in pink...
