"Garcia will almost certainly make his millions if he were to leave after the season but what does that mean to a guy who is now at his third college in three years, having academic issues throughout his career. Leaving early to the NBA is way different than any other sport because it is the norm but it doesn’t mean you are ready. Just ask two other NBA Seattle products who left early, Marvin Williams and Martell Webster. Neither one is a All-Star but I’m sure they are financially secure for a lifetime.
One thing is certain, tattoos alone, this is a different dude than Jake Locker. He doesn’t have a contract with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to fall back on. He, like most of us, certainly needs the money.

Tyler Sequin is highly regarded as a potential No 1 or 2 selection in the 2010 NHL Draft. Sequin tried out and did not make team Canada Junior Championship team. (Canada.com)
In fact, the very guy that Sequin is battling to be the top pick in the draft, Taylor Hall, beat him out for Team Canada. (The Gazette). His maturity was an attractive point.
