Before we get started, check out this week’s round table debate on the top three fantasy basketball rookies (click here for the article ).  You can also check out next week’s NBA schedule as you prepare to set your fantasy lineup (click here for the article ).

I’ve scoured the fantasy basketball waiver wires to find gems so you don’t have to.

Maurice Evans: SG/SFAtlanta Hawks

Evans has picked up his game, averaging 18.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.7 blocks, and 3.7 three-pointers last week. He shot an impressive 66.7 percent from the floor without missing a free throw. Evans is owned in four percent of Yahoo! and 0.3 percent of ESPN leagues.

Chris Duhon: PGNew York Knicks

Duhon is on D’Antoni’s good side right now and his numbers illustrate why. Last week he averaged 14.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 9.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and 3.5 three-pointers. Ride him while he’s hot. Duhon is owned in 57 percent of Yahoo! and 22.8 percent of ESPN leagues.

Erick Dampier: CDallas Mavericks

Dampier was murder on the glass last week, hauling in 12.0 boards a night to go along with his 11.0 points, 1.7 blocks, and .875 shooting percentage. He’s owned in 40 percent of Yahoo! and 10.5 percent of ESPN leagues.

Jose Juan Barea: PGDallas Mavericks

Dampier isn’t the only Mav stepping up his game. Last week Barea averaged 12.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.3 three-pointers. He shot 56 percent from the floor. He missed half of his free throws, but that can be overlooked. He’s owned in seven percent of Yahoo! and 0.9 percent of ESPN leagues.

Beno Udrih: PG/SGSacramento Kings

It’s crazy that his ownership levels are still low (49 percent Yahoo!, 26.5 percent ESPN) as he contributes in multiple categories. Last week he averaged 14.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.3 three-pointers while shooting 60.6 percent from the floor. If he’s sitting there in your league, grab him.

C.J. Watson: PG/SGGolden State Warriors

C.J. has played well for the injury-riddled Warriors. Last week he averaged 12.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.3 steals, and 1.0 three-pointer. He shot 52.6 percent from the floor and 75.0 percent from the line. Watson is owned in 17 percent of Yahoo! and 2.2 percent of ESPN leagues.

Jeff Teague: PG/SGAtlanta Hawks

Teague averaged 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 0.7 blocks last week while shooting 59.1 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the stripe. He’s owned in one percent of Yahoo! and 0.7 percent of ESPN leagues. He’s best used in daily transaction leagues if you need assists at this point.

Courtney Lee: SG/SFNew Jersey Nets

Lee was solid for the Nets last week averaging 13.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.3 steals while shooting 40 percent from the field and 92.9 percent from the line. He’s owned in 55 percent of Yahoo! and 19.4 percent of ESPN leagues.
