Arsenal Need a Striker Thats Not Cup Tied, Free, and a Friggen Superstar!

Aaron AndersonDec 12, 2009

Please don't think of this article as disrespect to Arsene Wenger, I just wish I could sit there and talk to him and ask him whats up? because lately he said he would enter the market for a new striker and all of a sudden six days in a row there were different strikers linked to Arsenal.

1. Sampdoria's Pazzini - I youtubed him once and he seemed like a stud, but just too expensive.

2. Edin Dzeko - Already knew he was a stud and a lot of teams want him, but he's cup tied and Arsene won't go for that.

3. Maroune Chamakh - Those rumors will never stop until he finally transfers to either Arsenal or some other team, but a decent player...also Cup tied.

4. Ruud van Nisterooy - Old, but still probably has the skill, Arsene would never go for him because he used to play for Man U and pretty much hates him.

5. Carlton Cole - A strong Striker and has shown some great qualities but not sure if hes good enough for Arsenal.

6. Loik Remy - A strong powerful striker - even complimented with being called the new Henry.

Lastly there is one more person that was linked that I am not sure why Wenger would think he is too pricey because he is the perfect guy for Arsenal.

Andre Pierre Gignac - Strong, good foot skills, smart guy, just an all around good striker with an impressive resume for Toulouse.

Most importantly hes NOT cup tied.  Toulouse FC is currently in the Europa Cup and according to Uefa rules it is allowed for a player who plays in the Europa cup to transfer to a Champions League team and play in the Champions League, but the team is limited to one person doing this.

Last year when Real Madrid bought Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Lassana Diarra (who were both in the Europa Cup) they were allowed to select one and play them in the champions league and while I still question their decision to play Lass it was theirs to make and Arsenal should make theirs to pick up Gignac.

Lets look at the downside of buying Gignac....um.....he would cost 12 mill euros or pounds or whatever, either way its under 20 mill and i'm pretty sure during the last transfer market Arsenal made like 40.  Any more downs...?

Ups - He only costs like 12 mill!!!!

Leading scorer in the French League (not the most competitive league)

Wenger loves French Guys!

Starts for the French National Team...mostly because the Coach hates Benzema but that's besides the point because he usually scores.

He can play Champions League

He's not below the height of six feet

I'm sure there are plenty more...but really, there should be no hesitation in bringing this guy in.
