Looking Ahead to the Future of Michigan Football
Well another bowless season is upon us in Ann Arbor and Michigan fans, incuding myself, expected a lot more than that. Sooo now the task for us is again like last year to wait nine months until Kick-off September fourth in the Big House. Lets look ahead to next season and what we have coming back.
(Offense)
We have basically all the starters returning next season with the exception of two offensive lineman, two RBs, and a few receivers.
The man at the controls of the offense, Tate Forcier, will have a full year under his belt in the Rodriguez System and that alone should help us tremendously.
At running back Vincent Smith who tore his ACL and will be out for the spring should be at the top of the depth chart along with Mike Shaw who showed flashes of greatness and also Mike Cox who has the body of Brandon Minor and the speed of Carlos Brown.
We should be set at running back as well as with receivers returning Roy Roundtree, Martavious Odoms, Junior Hemingway and Daryl Stonum along with the incoming receivers in this upcoming recruiting class. On the offensive line we lose two starters which is a blow, but we should make up for it with some of the redshirt's that we have including Elliot Mealer, Mike Schofield and Taylor Lewan.
Returning on the offensive line are possibly our two best lineman in C David Molk and RG Steve Schiiling. So I expect that we continue to improve and score a lot more points than last season my predictions (40+ PPG and over 450+ yds offense a game)
Yes, some of you may think im crazy, but I honestly think that this offense can be this explosive.
Now...its the other side of the ball that is a HUGE?
Stay tuned for a predictions on the Defense for next year!
