Friday Night Thoughts…

Spartans beat Oakland last night.. great game.  I was there with one of my daughters...  Great time as always, great atmosphere.. Oakland is a better team that what they showed tonight...

But Frankly, even though the Spartans won by 31 points, they were missing free throws, and miss-fired on a couple slam dunks, as well as had a sloppy passes…  Not a #2 rank performance.. guess that why they are #14…

I am sure Coach Izzo will have them ready by Big Ten Season. Question: will they be ready for Texas ??

Note: I do expect them to end the year in the Top 5.

But, my thoughts are with the Spartan grads and others deployed in harms way.  They are dedicated to serve our country. And in this Holiday Season, they give the most to support our Nation’s freedoms. thank you Ryan C. and others for being MSU grads and being dedicated to your country.

And compare those thoughts with the recent issues in Rather Hall. The petty scrum in Rather Hall is NOTHING compared to what some Spartans see on a daily basis.

So, don’t give me that bull shit about you need to have your brother’s back about dancing with some girl, and someone else got diss’ed at a club.  When other real men give up much more for much less.

The fraternity should be also disciplined or have its charter removed from the University. But that is a separate topic, and I am told its not a Politically Correct to bring up. This is for another day.

Coach Mark Dantonio has 150% of the Spartan Nations support. Take the program forward Coach.  Do not squander this opportunity to set a clear precedent for MSU’s future.

Boys… you choose to lose when you chose to be involved with mob  behavior.  When you are a Spartan Athlete and represent the Spartan Program and Michigan State University, you must be an adult, act with restraint, patients. And  If in doubt, ask your coaches. 

I hate to toss the baby out with the bath water, but second strike: your out, baby.. your outa heeeere… !     Go play in the SEC, Michigan or somewhere else..…  The Spartan Nation doesn’t want you.  Learn about what real sacrifice is.. Maybe you had it too easy…. Maybe you need to join our friends in the service to become a man.

Spartan Football culture has changed, there is no stepping back. Go Forward Coach Mark.
