Just When You Thought It Was Safe…

You know that inevitable scene in almost every horror movie at the end where, just when we thought the killer had been eradicated and the nightmare was over, they slip some dramatic clue in there that lets the audience know that they intend on dragging this out for several more sequels? 

In Friday the 13th, it was a mangled young Jason leaping from the depths of Crystal Lake.  In Halloween it was Dr. Loomis looking out to where Michael Myers was laying and seeing that ”the evil” was gone, etc, etc. 

Far be it from Hollywood to give up on a potential franchise before its been beaten into the ground.  Turns out the sports media isn’t that much different. 

Just when you thought we were winding down the 15-year plague that has been the media’s love affair with Brett Favre, just when you saw the light at the end of that nauseating tunnel, they unveiled their plan for the sequel…

His freaking nephew’s high school team is getting front page coverage on Yahoo!.  

Prepare yourself, sports fans.  It looks like this is far from being over.
