After a month of keeping mum, Cristiano Ronaldo breaks silence on his future.

The Manchester United winger is being courted by Real Madrid, with the Spanish champions rumoured to be preparing a big-money bid for Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a staggering 42 goals last season for United.

"All I can say is that I can not leave Manchester United without the club's concession" revealed Ronaldo.

"At the last game I already said that I don't want to talk about my future," said Ronaldo

Even though Ronaldo chooses to keep quiet, the lines in bold suggest to me that his future is at Manchester United.

Cristiano Ronaldo's elder brother Hugo, meanwhile, has rubbished all claims suggesting Ronaldo has told close friends that he will move to Madrid.

"I spoke to him and he said he hadn't talked to anyone about what he was going to do after the Euros, he wouldn't promise me or our mother."

Cristiano Ronaldo is confident ahead of Portugal's clash against Germany and chose to pay tribute to Luiz Felipe Scolari (Portugal's coach) who has now been hired as the new Chelsea manager.

"He's a friend and I have a great friendship with him, he has decided on a good future and I think things will go all right for him, he's a great coach and I will always consider him as a friend," said Ronaldo of Scolari.

Manchester United have crushed speculation that Sir Alex Ferguson will walk away if Ronaldo is sold against his will.

An extract from David Gill's statement reads "He's not going anywhere, we know Real Madrid will not stop their antics but we will stand firm on our decision."

I was on the job and took time out to look at the possibilities of Cristiano Ronaldo joining Real Madrid against Manchester United's wishes.

It turns out chances are very bleak, I and Warren Healy from World Sport decided to catch up with Manchester United's spokesperson, Matthew Fillings.

Fillings explained to us that the Glazer Family had sent strong instructions that Cristiano Ronaldo will not be sold to Real Madrid under any circumstances.

"He has a four year contract signed with us, his contract has no buy-out clause, which means it is up to the club's management to decide whether they are to accept a bid or reject it" explained Fillings.

"He can take the club to the court if it comes to the worst but we stand on solid ground because we have a legal contract signed with the player for more than one year and he is a foreign player, which means he has to abide by the laws of the Premier League" revealed Fillings.

"I personally don't think he will do anything more than handing in a transfer request to the club," concluded Fillings.

We were unable to get the view of Premier League's Richard Scudamore on the matter but I think we have made ground breaking progress into knowing the future of Cristiano Ronaldo.
