NFL 2010 mock draft opinions
My opinion on the 2010 Draft.
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Ndamukong Suh, DT Nebraska
It's rare to see a Defensive Tackle drafted this high, But why wouldn't he be? At 6'4"/305 lbs., he's incredibly athletic for his size. He's going to make an immediate impact on the NFL. He's probably the best DT to come out of the NCAA. Top 3 draft pick forshure
2. Cleveland Browns, Eric Berry, S Tennessee
I know everybody has mocked a QB for the Browns but, I actually think Brady Quinn can do all right. He's been good so far and had a huge game against the Lions. But, I think Eric Berry would be the best fit here. He's one of the best at what he does and he'd definitely help out the struggling pass D of the Browns. But if they don't take Berry, it's either Clausen or Locker.
3. St.Louis Rams, Jake Locker, QB Washington Or Jimmy Clausen, QB ND
It's clear they need a QB, and a good one at that. It's either Locker or Clausen. I think if the Browns pass on Clausen, the Rams snag him right away. Doesn't really matter who they choose but i can see them going after Clausen since he's been in a pro-style offence for 3 years & Jake has only been in pro-style offence just 1 year.
4. Detroit Lions Russell Okung, OT Oklahoma State
The Lions need somebody to protect their QB. Stafford is taking harsh hits, and if that continues, he might be in big trouble. A Saftey would fit here too but if Eric Berry is off the board then i'd think they'd shoot for Okung.
5. Kansas City Chiefs, Taylor Mays, S USC
This is a must for the Chiefs. Their pass D is too soft and too many teams light them up. Mays should turn that around.
6. Washington Redskins, Sam Bradford, QB Oklahoma
They need a playmaker on offense. Jason Campbell is not good at all, and Bradford is just too good to slip past the Skins. Bradford is incredibly accurate, and is a leader. This is exactly what the 'Skins need.
7. Buffalo Bills, Rolando McClain, ILB Oklahoma
They need a playmaker on defense. McClain is their man! There pass D is pretty strong so i'd think an ILB like McClain would fit perfect & help out there struggling run D.
8. San Francisco 49ers, Joe haden, CB Florida
They need a new CB. Nate Clements is going to be a FS, and other than Clements, there is nobody else that's a decent pass defender on the Niners' D. I'd think they'd go with Haden here.
9. Oakland Raiders, Derrick Morgan, DE Georgia Tech
They need to put more pressure on QBs. Morgan would be a huge help. I don't think they need a QB. I've seen QB's mocked to the Raiders, but I can't see Al Davis drafting another QB after he blew so much on JaMarcus, besides, Gradkowski is coming along pretty well.
10. Houston Texans, Earl Thomas, FS Texas
This is a must for the Texans. If they don't select Thomas here, they will probably go after a DE. Thomas would be there best option here though since there in desperate need of a FS
11. Seattle Seahawks, Bryan Bulaga, OT Iowa
They're in desperate need of a OT. They can't protect their QB, and can't help the run either. They have to go with Bulaga here.
*Seahawks trade for this spot and take Jahvid Best. Julius Jones sucks! Forsett is good but, He can't take all the carries. Best would help out.
12. *Trade for this spot: Denver Broncos, Brandon Spikes, ILB Florida
If they go with Spikes here, There Linebackers would be dominant now that has Dumervil broken out. Just imagine Spikes,Dumervil,Dawkins & Bailey on the same D. WOW!
13. Pittsburgh Steelers, Bruce Campbell, OT Maryland
The Browns sacked Big Ben six times! The Browns. Pittsburgh obviously needs some help up front.
14. New York Jets, Ras-I Dowling, CB Virginia
Yes, I know, the Jets have the best corner in the league (Darrell Revis), but who do they have across from him? Lito Sheppard? He's history after this season. They go with a Corner here. Think about it, Revis & Dowling on the same team. Unstoppable!
15. Atlanta Falcons, Donovan Warren, CB Michigan
They really need a CB. If the jets take Dowling, then Warren falls here. Most likely there 1st pick is going to be a Corner, But whatever number they are in the draft is going to determine which Corner it's gonna be.
1 6. Baltimore Ravens, Dez Bryant, WR Oklahoma State
Dez Bryant is a must here, and I think in the second round they'll select another WR like Mardy Gilyard. They're probably losing Derrick Mason, and he was really the only decent WR on their team, so they have to take two WRs. Since Derrick Mason & a few other BAL WR's contracts are going to expire after this season is over.
17. Miami Dolphins, Arrelious Benn, WR Illinois
I know Sparano doesn't like taking WR's in the first round, but the Dolphins need a big playmaker for their passing game. Now that Davone Bess is emerging, they'll have a good set of WRs, finally! It's hard for me to believe he'll actually pick a WR here, But if the top Line Backers are off the board then they have to pick a WR
18. New York Giants, Navorro Bowman, OLB Penn State
Antonio Pierce is getting old and has struggled this year, so I think it's right that they take an OLB right here.
19. Jacksonville Jaguars, Tim Tebow, QB Florida
They have to sell tickets! Nobody goes to their games. Tebow might not be the best pick for the Jags, but they need to sell tickets. Football is a business & if they don't sell tickets things could go bad for the Jags orginazation.
20. New England Patriots, Brandon LaFell, WR LSU
This is a steal for the Pats. They obviously need a playmaker across from Randy Moss & Wes Welker. Brandon LaFell would be the best fit. Since Joey Galloway is just sorry, They have to take LaFell if he's still on the board.
21. Arizona Cardinals, Jermaine Gresham, TE Oklahoma
They don't need much, but a TE like Gresham would be a big addition to their Offense. & Gresham is the best TE in the draft, So why not take a shot on him right here.
22. Philadelphia Eagles, C.J. Spiller, RB Clemson
They don't know if Westbrook is coming back, and if not, I think C.J. would fit perfectly here, and be a great complement to LeSean McCoy. C.J. kind of reminds me of Westbrook as well, He catches screens he's not very tall & he's lightning fast! If Westbrook doesn't come back i could see them taking C.J. right here.
23. Cincinnati Bengals, Danario Alexander, WR Missouri
I know people may think, "Who's he?" Well, let me tell you. This guy leads all NCAA WRs in yards, and stands at a staggering 6'5"/215 lbs. The Bengals really need a No.2 WR across from Ochocinco. Alexander is a perfect fit. Lavernous Coles is stuggling & Chris Henry is on IR in his contract year. If they don't sign Henry next season then they take a WR & i could see Danario going here. He would complement Ochocinco pretty well.
24. Dallas Cowboys, Charles Brown, OT USC
They need to protect Romo more often. This is the only reasonable choice for the Cowboys here.
25. Green Bay Packers, Anthony Davis, OT Rutgers
I think Aaron Rodgers has been the best QB this season, but the only problem is the Packers need to protect him. He's just taking too many sacks. Davis should fix that.
26. San Diego Chargers, Ryan Matthews, RB Fresno State
They need a decent RB here, Matthews is having a great season & should be a perfect fit here since L.T. might not have very many years left because of his age. I could see Matthews emerging into a great RB in a couple years.
27. Minnesota Vikings, Greg Hardy, DE Ol' Miss
They really need a DE here, but if they don't pick one, they'll go with an OLB
28. New Orleans Saints, Travis Lewis, OLB Oklahoma
They really don't need much, but i think Travis Lewis would fall here. He's having a solid season in college & would complement the Saints D well
29. Indianapolis Colts, Joseph Barksdale, OT LSU
One of Manning's blockers will be a free agent next year, and if they don't resign him..Barksdale lands here. Colts don't need much but they have to protect there 92million dollar QB so it's only right to take an OT
