Steelers vs. Browns (Thursday 8:00 pm): Must win for Steelers tonight?

The Steelers (6-6) come into this game having lost 4 straight games, including a overtime loss to the Chiefs and a 27-24 home loss to the Raiders. The Steelers are in desperate need of a win tonight; if they lose they fall two or three games back of one of the wild card leaders and mostly likely fall out of playoff contention, but with a win and a Jaguars (one of the wild card leaders) loss, they will be tied with the Jaguars for one of the wild card leaders. the good news for the Steelers is that Big Ben is back after suffering a concussion two weeks ago. He played last week against the Raiders; he threw for 278yds, 2Tds, and 1 Ints. The bad thing about tonight's game for Big Ben is he could be without one of his wide receivers, Hines Ward (hamstring). This could decrease Big Ben's numbers by a lot. Big Ben's numbers could decrease due to the weather as well; Clevland is expecting heavy winds and snow for the forcast on Thursday night. The good thing tonight for the Steelers is that they are playing the Browns, a team that they have won 12 straight games against coming into tonight.  The Steelers secondary is going to have to play a lot better this week if they want to win; the Steelers secondary has been averaging giving up 254 passing yds per game in their last 3 games. This Steelers secondary has been out with their best defensive player for most of the year, Troy Polamalu. He makes the Steelers defense the best in the NFL and without him, they are not where near the best. Even though the Steelers have a 12 game winning streak coming into tonight's game, the Browns quarterback ( Brady Quinn) has been on fire lately; he has thrown for 675yds, 7Tds. and 0 Ints in his last 3 games. Brady Quinn looks to exploit the Steelers secondary tonight and continue his hot streak. The Steelers defense looks to rise up and stop the Browns and win their 13 straight game against the Browns and stay in the hunt for the playoffs tonight.
