The Dancing Is Corny, LeBron

Walker DanielsDec 10, 2009

What would be LeBron James' sports betting odds to win "Dancing With The Stars"? The Cleveland Cavs star looks like he'll be heading there after his recent activity.

James got into it with Chicago's Joakim Noah in a 101-87 win on December 4th, and when the Cavs were up by 19 in the second half, James decided to treat a timeout like it was a "Soul Train" line, breaking out various dance moves. Later, when he returned to the game as the Bulls made it close, Noah yelled at James from the sidelines, allegedly calling the reigning MVP "corny". I'm as big a Noah hater as you'll find in the NBA, and I didn't like him when he was at Florida, but the Bulls' version of Anderson Varejao actually has a point (side note: the Noah-Varejao matchup makes me sick).

James can dance all he wants, that's all fine and good, but it seems to be all gravy...if the Cavs are winning. Where was he when Orlando beat them last year? He was leaving the court, while his teammates congratulated the Magic. Where was the dancing when that video popped up this summer in regards to James getting "dunked on" (it wasn't even close to being a posterization) at a summer camp? The thing is, you have to take the good with the bad, and James, it seems, only wants to take the good. We all know he wants to win, have fun, and he's the most talented player we've seen in a while (*waits for angry comments from Kobe Bryant fans*). But if you're going to dance during big leads, and then leave the court without congratulating the other team after they beat you, then yes, it's corny. It doesn't affect the Cavs' sportsbook odds one way or another, but it's corny.
