Tiger Woods: The Stoning Of a Golf Hero

He had an affair, allegedly with as many as 11 girls.

End of story!

Well, not so fast!

The mindless media coverage about Tiger Woods alleged affairs reminds me of the biblical stories about stoning.

No! I’m not talking about smoking something , the kind of stoning I’m talking about was executed in a public square by people throwing rocks at individuals as punishment for their indiscretions.

Most of the time they were stoned to death.

The methods may have changed, and the stones have been replaced by the Internet and It’s millions of wed sites, cable television and their hundreds of channels and let us not forget the grocery store check-out rack magazines.

Many (there are exemptions), of those media outlets and the folks who work for them have something in common, they are bored and out of talent.

They just can’t think of anything to write about , so the easy way to get attention and Internet hits is to stay on this story like a dog guarding his bone.

Agree?

Lets review the story:

Tiger Woods allegedly had multiple affairs ..

Okay here is the stat, 50 % of married woman and 60 % of married man will have an affair during their marriage, many solve their problem with help from family and friends.

It’s a common occurrence!

Is not murder!

So why not just reported it and drop it, let them work things out!

What else do we need to know, what else can they tell us.

I don’t want to hear about how, where and about how many times they allegedly did it , do you?

If you need to know that stuff, maybe, just maybe! you should go down to the video store and go in that back room with a curtain, you know, the porno section!

Get yourselves some videos and enjoy.

Don’t get your jollies on the backs of folks who are probably suffering.

Just saying, it may just be the decent thing to do, or maybe not, is all up to us who give attention to the "garbage" that goes beyond the story.

Okay, we can all agree something happened, but now that everybody but my granny has allegedly been sleeping with Tiger.

Where is the proof?

Does anyone have pictures or some kind of concrete proof on all 11 girls?

Of course not! but some media outlets wants to keep the story going, so anyone who wants their 15 minutes of fame can just say " Tiger dated me and pinched my rear" and no one is going to verify the story, they’re just going to print it and added to the tally.

The validation of the stories becomes irrelevant, but the ratings go through the roof.

As far as I’m concern that’s the whole story.

Let them work it out in private among his family and friends.

And no! it doesn’t matter if his name is Tiger Woods!

He has as much right to privacy as you have when sitting on a toilet with your pants down, you know! reading the paper, and from some of the garbage I’ve been reading in some of those publication , you can save some toilet paper and use that reading material accordingly , if you know what I mean .Wink! Wink!
