World Football Transfer Updates: The Big Movers!

Well, here we are with the latest transfer updates in the world of football, shifting our focus from the ongoing Euro 2008 to some news relating to club football and "who's going where!"

John Arne Riise (Liverpool)

AS Roma have been granted permission by Liverpool to open discussions with the representatives of John Arne Riise.

Premier League sides Newcastle and Aston Villa are also reportedly considering a move for Riise, but it appears to be Roma who are in the driving seat.

Steve Sidwell (Chelsea)

Aston Villa have agreed to a £5.5-million deal for Chelsea midfielder Steve Sidwell.

The former Reading star only moved to Stamford Bridge last summer on a free transfer, but he was unable to force a regular place in Chelsea's first XI.

Lukas Podolski (Bayern Munich)

Lukas Podolski claims Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus have shown interest.

Podolski endured a frustrating past season at the Allianz Arena and is considering his future with the German champions.

He is currently impressing with Germany at Euro 2008 and plans to discuss his situation with new Bayern coach Jurgen Klinsmann after the tournament.

Deco (FC Barcelona)

Barcelona's Deco is likely to move to London giants Chelsea after Big Phil Scolari's appointment as Chelsea's new boss.

Deco has already said he will not stay at Barcelona for next season. Inter Milan is the other possible destination for the Portuguese midfielder.

Ronaldinho (FC Barcelona)

Inter Milan and AC Milan have both withdrawn their interest in Ronaldinho, which confirms that he is likely to move to either Chelsea or Manchester City.

Deco has pleaded with him to snub Manchester City. Thaksin Shinawatra has promised to meet Ronaldinho personally and believes the contract he will be offered is "irresistible."

Barcelona have confirmed Ronaldinho's services are no longer required at the Camp Nou.

Dimitar Berbatov (Tottenham Hotspur)

A recent report suggests Spurs are trying to land Podolski as a replacement for Berbatov, who has openly stated his desire to join Manchester United.

United are also believed to be interested in the Bulgarian alongside Luis Fabiano, Klaas Jan Huntelaar, Karim Benzema, and Mirko Vucinic.

Ricardo Quaresma (FC Porto) :

Ricardo Quaresma has revealed agreeing to personal terms with a "big club," but will that all change given FC Porto has been allowed to participate in the Champions League?

England's Big Four (Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal) are all believed to be interested in landing the Portuguese winger.

Samir Nasri  (Olympique Marseille)

Arsenal have already lost Flamini and are close to giving up Hleb. Given the circumstances, Arsene Wenger is desperate to land Marseille's Samir Nasri who is often described as the "next Zidane".

Can Marseille give up another star after losing Ribery last season? They are also being tipped to lose Djibril Cisse.

Louis Saha (Manchester United)

Manchester United's Louis Saha is out of favour at Old Trafford after being injured for a major chunk of the last two seasons.

Reports suggest Italy's Roma are planning a move on the French forward. West Ham and Fulham are also believed to be interested in securing his services.
