Houston will TKO Kimbo in Round 2 Of The UFC TUF Season 10 Finale

FROM WWW.MACHORHINO.COM - THE CURE FOR MALE PATTERN BOREDOM

A great season of UFC’s “The Ultimate Fighter” wraps up Saturday night, December 5, 2009 live in Las Vegas on Spike TV. This season featured heavyweights battling it out in the Octagon for a chance to earn a UFC contract. Some good match-ups on this card and with Kimbo Slice fighting, it’s a must see event.

Main card:
Marcus “The Darkness” Jones (4-1) vs. Matt Mitrione (0-0) – Jones snapped on the show after learning his friend Scott Junk could no longer fighter after an injury received in a fight against Mitrione. Jones was in his face ready to go but Mitrione kept his cool and did nothing to provoke “The Darkness”. Mitrione has good stand-up and might be able to do some damage while the fight is up. I can’t see Jones standing and trying to trade though. He’s a force on the ground and will submit Mitrione there. Jones via submission in round 1.

Frankie “The Answer” Edgar (10-1) vs. Matt Veach (11-0) - Edgar always seems to be involved in great fights. His only loss is to Grey Maynard, a top 5 guy at 155. For Veach, he’s undefeated but this is a big step-up in competition. I look for Edgar to push the pace and make Veach fight defensive. Edgar via decision.

Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson (3-1) vs. Houston “The Assassin” Alexander (8-4-1) – Kimbo has dropped from fighting heavyweight on the show to 215 for this bout. You won’t want to blink in this one as it figures to show a lot of haymakers being thrown and when they land eventually someone will be staring up at the lights. Alexander has a lot of experience now in the Octagon and that tends to make a big difference in fights. Kimbo seemed to improve during the show and wants to become great. I don’t think this is his time yet though. Houston Alexander via TKO in round 2.

Roy “Big Country” Nelson (14-4) vs. Brendan Schaub (4-0) – These two men fought their way here by beating three men on the show this season. Nelson is the former IFL Champion and has tons of experience. He’s a highly skilled fighter and despite how he looks, he moves well. Brendan Schuab showed KO power on the show and seems to be improving but only has four pro fights. Does the magnitude of this fight make him shrink or explode onto the scene? This one goes the distance with both men throwing flurries at times in the middle of the cage. Roy Nelson is season 10 TUF Champion.

Main event:
Matt “The Hammer” Hamill (7-2) vs. Jon “Bones” Jones (9-0) – The winner of this fight becomes a contender at light heavyweight. Hamill is a great wrestler who’s steadily been improving his striking. Jones has power and quickness to counter whatever his opponents throw at him. Hamill has been on the big stage before losing to Rich Franklin. This is the first big fight for Jones in the UFC. How does he respond? I think this is a great fight that goes the distance. Jones has the striking edge and will score more points. Jones via decision.

Get ready because next Saturday for UFC 107, you’ll see one of the best cards in UFC history I predict. I can’t wait for Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida and the big one, B.J. Penn vs. Diego Sanchez for the 155 belt.
