Tiger, Involved With a "Circus"

          Ok, let me get this off my chest... Tiger Woods is arguably the greatest golfer to ever play the game. However, as with all celebrities the media is blowing his personal life into a circus. Does anyone but me realize this happens to people everyday? Thinking this guy is more than a human being with extraordinary talent is ignorant.

Tiger is a person with all the emotions, feelings, and faults that go along with that!! This whole media blitz is adding to an already uncomfortable situation. How can a man of his status be expected to begin to reconcile anything when he is the lead story on every newscast, and the headline in every newspaper. And more to the point, who cares.

 If Tiger was 99% of the population this would not be news. The problem in this country is we emulate celebrities to the point where their lives are under a microscope. His alledged indiscretions do not in any way effect our lives... He is a golfer, full stop!! He has spent his entire adult life in the public eye without incident.

 Give the guy a break, he has spent millions in the attempt to make the world a better place for the unfortunate. He has been an ambassador to the game he loves. He has transcended racial barriers, and done it all with the grace and endurance of a champion.

I understand that with his level of celebrity, privacy is unheard of. I think he has handled this as well as anyone can. It is a deeply personal situation, and should be treated as such by the media. I challenge the people blowing this story into a circus to take a look at themselves and ask, Have I ever....? With the rate of divorce in this country I think alot of people will realize  This is not newsworthy.

No one will say this is a good thing, it is unfortunate, I feel for his whole family, and wish him the best. But at the end of the day, Tiger is an exceptional athlete, philanthropist, but is still human with all the faults that go along with it...
