Poor Carlito...Poor POOR Carlito!!!...oh Yeah, And Mark Henry Too!!!
Is it just me, or did Carlito do a great job only to job. If you need any proof that he has talent, notice that he came out to almost no response...AT ALL!!! He grabbed the mic and conducted heat a matter of seconds. He was a great character to come out and make the statement that he made about being held back by the commoners on the top.
I don't know if Cena knew this was coming. If he did, then I must give him some credit on handling it in a manner that seemed like he didn't. He looked legitimately hurt, like the first time he got booed outside of the ECW Arena.
Carlito delivered a crushing blow only to get destroyed himself. He broke months of silence and got embarrassed by John Cena in a way that leaves me to believe that his presence is useless.
It bothers me that he is a veteran that is being treated like a rookie. I know he has said some things in the back that has gotten him in trouble, but this goes along with my philosophy that talent must be rewarded by use. I can understand why there are some wrestlers that are not holding up, and couldn't excite a crowd if they were on fire.
Speaking of wrestlers need a crowd stimulus plan... Mark Henry. Just as I said in my last article, Henry was also given the 'shut-up and wrestle' treatment, except more like the 'shut-up dance, rap, and wrestle in exchange for no development or direction for your character or career' treatment. Miz and Henry could be a fun little bit, especially if Miz can find different ways of beating him without actually pinning him, and not losing the belt. I know they have done similar, but the more Miz can brag about, the better his character is, and it would at least give Mark Henry something to do, and he would develop his character a little more.
I'm going to say this once...GET HIM AWAY FROM MVP!!! If you all remember, just before Henry and MVP got together, Henry was just starting to win over the crowd by himself with his Hogan-esque post match rituals, and we started to see a possible future champion in him, and now...NOT A CHANCE. Raw's Cryme Tyme isn't getting anything done, so get rid of them as a team. They could still be friends, even though I would rather see MVP as a heel.
Anyways, the WWE has lots of forgotten talent that have been sitting in the back collecting dust like encyclopedias. I don't think it is too much to have storylines going beyond that of the main-eventers.
Carlito, Jack Swagger, Chavo Guerrero, Evan Bourne, and Primo aren't doing anything significant on RAW, and there is a lot of talent in that list. Tell me what you think could be some things that could be done to give these guys something to do, or a format that could involve more wrestlers.
