NFL Week 12: Get 'Em or Don't Sweat 'Em

There were some unusual heroes on Sunday. There always are. Letโ€™s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Buffalo Bills
Fitzpatrick played a nice game leading the Bills to a victory over the Dolphins. Heโ€™s worth owning in two-QB leagues, especially now that T.O. has started to produce. Heโ€™s not worth owning in standard leagues though.
Ruling: Donโ€™t Sweat โ€˜em.

Chris Redman, QB, Atlanta Falcons
Redman had a nice game filling in for Matt Ryan. Ryan attempted to return to the game, which improves his chances to play next week. Even so, youโ€™re probably better off sticking with your current backup if Ryan canโ€™t go. Obviously he has value in two-QB leagues if Ryan misses any action.
Ruling:ย  Donโ€™t Sweat โ€˜em.

Vince Young, QB, Tennessee Titans
VY threw for 387 yards and the winning TD. Heโ€™s more than just managing games, heโ€™s making plays. Heโ€™s worth grabbing for some depth if youโ€™re dealing with injury issues.
Ruling:ย  Get โ€˜em.

Fred Jackson, RB, Buffalo Bills
Jackson scored a pair of TDs and had 116 total yards. When he gets a chance to carry the load, he is very effective. Look for him to be a force down the stretch.
Ruling:ย  Get โ€˜em.

Larry Johnson, RB, Cincinnati Bengals
LJ ran harder than he did in a long time. If Cedric Benson is out again next week, LJ would likely carry the load and be a nice play.
Ruling:ย  Get โ€˜em.

Justin Forsett, RB, Seattle Seahawks
If by chance, Forsett is still available in your league, he wonโ€™t be for long after his two TD, 130 yard effort.
Ruling:ย  Get โ€˜em.

Chris Brown, RB, Houston Texans
Brown had a nice game early for the Texans, but Indy forced them to turn to the air. Brown doesnโ€™t do quite enough to merit a fantasy spot, but he does enough to make it hard to start Steve Slaton.
Ruling:ย  Donโ€™t Sweat โ€˜em.

Jason Avant, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
Avant has been productive the past three weeks, and if DeSean Jacksonโ€™s concussion causes him to miss next weekโ€™s game, Avant becomes an intriguing play.
Ruling:ย  Get โ€˜em.

Kenny Britt, WR, Tennessee Titans
Britt has taken advantage of the Titansโ€™ injuries and has developed a nice rapport with VY. Heโ€™s worth grabbing down the stretch.
Ruling:ย  Get โ€˜em.

Anthony Fasano, TE, Miami Dolphins
Fasano had a nice game with five catches for 74 yards. This is only his second good game of the year, so donโ€™t add him for the stretch run.
Ruling:ย  Donโ€™t Sweat โ€˜em.

Chris Chambers, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
If Chambers didnโ€™t get picked up last week, go ahead and grab him. Heโ€™s not available in most active leagues, but Iโ€™ll point it out anyway.
Ruling:ย  Get โ€˜em.

Dante Rosario, TE, Carolina Panthers
Rosario had four catches for 62 yards. It was his second straight game with four receptions. With Tampa Bay on the horizon, he makes a sneaky TE play for those hurting at tight end.
Ruling:ย  Get โ€˜em.
