The Charlotte Bobcats, Clawing Back Into Playoff Contention!

Amin LittlejohnNov 29, 2009

Finally having one of the best coaches of all time and having the best player of all time being a part owner and watching you play is inspiring the Bobcats.

It seems as though the trade for Stephen Jackson has reinvigorated the Bobcats as a team. They are riding high on a 4 game win streak with a notable win over the Cavs.

In that game what really stood out to me was the team Defense as a whole. They forced Lebron to pass the ball with there double teams and traps on the perimeter.

Even then when Lebron passed to open teammates they were either ran off the three point line or the shot was contested.

Although they never struggled on defense, it was the offensive end that killed the Bobcats. They have finally found more ways to score.

They are starting to get solid contributions off the bench from Flip Murray and surprisingly from Nazr Mohammed not exactly known for his offensive abilities.

Raymond Felton is running the offense pretty good again and finding open teammates.

Stephen Jackson has come on strong in the games he has played he hasnt missed a beat. He brings another proven scorer to take pressure off of Gerald Wallace.

Last but not least Gerald Wallace is playing out of his mind on both ends of the floor. On the year he is averaging 16 points and 11.8 rebounds. For a man of his stature 6'7 to get 11.8 rebounds per game is excellent.

Larry Brown is finally starting to get his players to buy in to his game plan and the wins are beginning to pile on.

On the year the Bobcats are only giving up 89.6 points to opposing teams second in the league to Boston.

Michael Jordan has seemingly taken Gerald Wallace under his wing. In the game against the Cavs he told Wallace to attack a foul ridden Lebron and he kept attacking him. I would have to say on that night Wallace got the better of Lebron on both ends of the floor.

For a franchise who has yet to have a winning season things are beginning to look up for them, and i fully expect them to be a solid 5-6 seed in the East.
