Redskins assured of another non-winning record
With the 27-24 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Washington Redskins fall to a lousy 3-8, meaning, the best they can do if they win out, would be 8-8. Winning out is as likely as grass growing in the sky, so don’t count on it. With today’s loss here is how it racks up . . .
* This will be the second straight season the Redskins failed to obtain a winning record, meaning, HC Jim Zorn failed to lead the Redskins to a winning record during his soon-to-be brief 2 year reign as head coach.
* Under owner Daniel Snyder, with today’s loss, the Redskins have managed 2 winning seasons (2005, 2007) in ten years of ownership. [ DISCLAIMER: AGAIN, we do NOT count the 1999 season as Snyder's, he took over in May, the roster was set, it was a team he inherited and had little to no impact on that roster]

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
* With today’s loss, the Dan Snyder run Redskins are a dismal 69-86 (.445). If you take out the 8-8 season of 2001, since Snyder was not making the decisions, Snyder is 61-78
* Since legendary coach Joe Gibbs left during his first tenure, the Redskins have compiled an overall record of 115-151-1 (.435). That is quite pathetic given he left in 1992. That is 16 years of losing for this franchise.
* Dan Snyder claims he fired the wrong guy when he ousted Charlie Casserly and kept HC Norv Turner. That may very well be, God knows I am no Norv Turner fan. BUT, Norv Turner managed 3 winning seasons in his 6 full season with the Redskins (does not include 2000 in which Turner was fired by Snyder). Isn’t it ironic that the guy Snyder still feels he should have fired, had 3 winning season in 56 years, Dan Snyder has 2 winning season in 10 years of his decision making.
As you can see by the above record, the Redskins franchise has been in disarray since Joe Gibbs left in 1992. It has gotten worse under Snyder’s ownership. Looking at long this goes back, it actually surprises me the Redskins have managed to keep a strong fan base for this long, although cracks are appearing this season.
