That's It!!! A Giants Fans Rant!

That's it. I have had it. My Thanksgiving was ruined by yet another terrible performance by the New York Football Giants. And yes, I do have somewhere to place the blame.

Giant fans felt good about Thursday. Coming into Denver against a team who had lost four straight and Big Blue was coming of a win for the first time in four weeks. It just seemed that the momentum would carry the Giants to victory.

Then the game started and Giants fans realized just how 2009 is different from years past. The defensive didn't make the big plays when needed and the offense, well the offense has been down right awful in this collapse the Giants are having.

It wasn't the passing game last night for the Giants. Eli Manning played wonderful, completing nearly half his passes and compiling 230 yards. The running game was just pitiful.

Who's to blame for that? Has the offensive line forgot how to block for the run? Has Brandon Jacobs forgot how to run? Or are the Giants being out schemed? That's my thought.

Kevin Gilbride has been just an embarassment lately. It's starting to get ridiculous. Gilbride consistantly calls a five yard route play on 3rd and 8 and the Giants come up 3 yards short every single time. Does anyone remember the last time the Giants tried a pass past 20 yards? Defenses play 8 men in the box every single play against the Giants because they don't have to worry about a play behind them!

How about a screen play? No not the stupid screens we saw last night were you put the ball in the middle of the action, but a side screen where you can let Ware or Jacobs cut and gain yardage and actually have a shot at moving up the field.

How about using Kevin Boss more. We stink in the redzone! STINK!!! And instead of changing it up and using Boss, the Giants throw to him twice last night. Come on Gilbride!

I know Boss is a good blocker but change it up! Surprise and confuse the team a little bit. Change it up please. I am sick of seeing a draw on 3rd and 11 and gaining five yards and punting. It's ridiculous!

I am not calling for Gilbride's head just yet. Maybe Coughlin should take the play calling from him and show him how it's done.

Until then though, The Giants will live by 3rd and 11 draws making fans and media members everywhere scratch their heads.
