Manchester United: This season has been incredible for the red devils as they have shown that they could still play "Beautiful Football" without key players Ronaldo and Tevez. What’s changed?
This season Wayne Rooney has been sensational, with Wayne netting seven goals in twelve games, and scaring off every defense in the league.
Keeping Wayne match fit for every game is vital to United winning the league, BUT what would happen if he would get injured?
Don't forget Ferdinand is sidelined until the new year or later... and then there is player exhaustion, some of United’s most valuable players are over thirty, e.g. Van Der Sar, Giggs, Scholes and Neville and if they get tiered and unfit half way through the season, then that could be a major blow for the red devils.
But in my opinion it all comes down to if Wayne Rooney gets injured, United would have no chance of winning the league and would probably struggle to even finish in the top four.
Liverpool: This season has been terrible for Liverpool, only winning one game in ten games, 13 points behind league leaders Chelsea and Struggling to keep key player Torres fit, (struggling with groin problem, and still receiving treatment) this season can't get any worse for the reds, but unless we see a MAJOR change in play, Liverpool have no chance of winning the league or even finishing in the top four.
Manchester City: Manchester City are the perfect team...... on paper, things are looking dim, as they have drawn there last six Premier league games, and are about too lose, summer signings, key players, Adebayor and Kolo Toure to the African Nations in Angola for three weeks in January, that is when other teams can shed some serious points off City,
but if they hold there ground and last the period through the African Nations, they have a great chance of finishing in the top four, they are in sixth place now, and winning a fourth place spot means they would have to start winning games, and not losing points to teams like Burnley, Wigan and Fulham.
Tottenham Hotspur: Tottenham Hotspur have had a fairly decent start to the League, in the last six games they have won three games, and including the 9 - 1 thrashing of Wigan Athletics,
but If the worst case scenario happens to the other clubs, then Spurs have a very decent chance of finishing in the top four, but for that to happen, that would mean that they have to keep playing in the form they played against Wigan.
Chelsea: Chelsea are the number one contenders to win the Barclays Premier League this season, they have the perfect squad, perfect manager and perfect owner, but they still have a hell of a long way to go to before even thinking about Premiership glory, first they have Drogba, who's still recovering from injury, then there's Lampard who is going to miss the crucial game against Arsenal next Sunday due to injury, now on top of all that Chelsea manager Ancelotti will lose Drogba, Essien, John Obi Mikel and Salomon Kalou for three weeks during the African Nations, and if Chelsea can maintain there Winning streak losing only one game in the last six played they still have an incredible chance of winning the Barclays Premier League, but if they shed points in the absence of there players there might be no coming back.
Arsenal: Have the young guns come of age? that's been the same question for the last five years but finally hears the answer.
Arsenal are in the perfect position to win the league this season, with Van Persie Injured until the end of December, they have to keep all there players fit, and can’t afford to lose to small clubs like Sunderland, they have to keep winning games and really focus this season.
The only minor, MINOR set backs would be Eboue and Song going off to the African Nations for three weeks in January, but that should not be a problem with players like Walcott, Diaby and Denilson fit and ready to play, if Arsenal can beat Chelsea on Sunday creating a further set back for Chelsea and keep there players fit and out of injury they have a brilliant chance, despite winning only four games out of six they are still sitting comfortably in 3rd place behind United and Chelsea. With Arsenal only eight points behind Chelsea at the number one position they can really turn things around for themselves, as well as that Arsenal also have a game in hand which could prove vital towards the end of the season.
