Juan Pablo Montoya: Tony Stewart Got What He Deserved, A Good Punt!

al asifyouknowNov 22, 2009

According to the ABC broadcast crew, NASCAR had considered the incident over even though Tony Stewart tried twice to end Montoya’s day.

The first was when he pulled right in front of the No. 42 car , Montoya had no chance to stop and jacked Tony.

I assume Tony took that as an intentional hit and came down in retaliation hitting Montoya as he was passing , that move ended Montoya’s opportunity to move up in the final chase standings.

If my math is correct that’s two blatantly aggressive moves by No. 14.

Agree?

When Montoya got back on the track and retaliated by wrecking Tony Stewart, NASCAR, in their infinite wisdom, penalized No. 42 a couple laps.

So why wasn’t Tony penalized?

I really don’t get this, I don’t want to think it was just because Tony Stewart is one of NASCAR’s favorite sons.

Am I wrong?

I hope I am folks , I really do.

Maybe NASCAR just missed the incident, maybe they were eating a taco or having a bowl of Cuban black bean soup.

Anyway you look at it, No. 42 should of never been black flagged, at least not by himself, it takes two to Tango, well, maybe not in NASCAR.

The non-penalty by NASCAR gave Tony Stewart a good finish, it only lost him

a spot in the chase.

Montoya was not so lucky, his standings went from sixth to eighth.

Oh well! Things are tough all over!

Juan Pablo Montoya , well done dear sir! I’m proud of you.

This sets the tone for the 2010 season, just as Danny Hamlin has made it clear he is not gone to take any nonsense, this is a massage that needed to be sent by the No.42 team if they are to go forward towards a championship.

I do understands you need friends in NASCAR to be successful, but friendship is a two way street and in my opinion there has been too many “I’m Sorry, Oops I did it again” against the No. 42 this season.

It was a good time to stand up and make a statement.

Congratulation to the No. 42 team for a great year, I can’t wait for Daytona.

I have a feeling it will be a very special year for that team.

Tenga buenas vacaciones Sr. Montoya.
