Urban Meyer, right guy for Notre Dame, or should he look at Michigan?
It seems all is lost for Notre Dame's coach Charlie Weis, but not for Notre Dame football. You can get a coach like Urban Meyer if you're Notre Dame. As for Michigan they are nearing a period of disunion, they don't know who to trust with their program.
Pros: Why you would want to coach Notre Dame: Notre Dame can take a deep breath, it's a rough time in their history, but they'll fight through it, every team has its bad years.
Jimmy Clausen should be coming back for his senior season, Golden Tate joining him, along with alot of their offensive stars, to me losing 33 seniors is not the problem, it's how they use the stars that they're stuck with is the problem.
They need to do a kind of Run N Gun offense, expose Clausen's arm get the big MO shifting in their way. Whoever coaches Notre Dame has their work cut out for them in rebuilding this football team.
Jimmy Clausen has a fantastic arm, they need to take advantage. Notre Dame has alot of potential, kids at my school used to dream to go there. There losing their reputation. Charlie can't let that be a set back though, just do the best you can at maybe the last game you will ever coach at Notre Dame, its a time for celebration if your a Notre Dame fan, dont give up on them yet.
Cons why you don't want to coach Notre Dame: Notre Dame has lost their mojo, you have to face the fact. They're not the golden football team they were before, I don't know if they'll ever be that type of team again, whoever coaches Notre Dame, will be fired in at least 7 years. It's hard to think about but its reality. Notre Dame expects great things, its hard for a mediocre coach to handle. I think the Irish are getting very greedy, you're letting them take your pot of gold! Dont let the media get to you guys at Notre Dame.
But Notre Dame has to set all the pressure with their head coach aside, they got one more game, one last stand for Charlie. Although I will be cheering the Cardinals way, my heart goes out to the man who gets alot of bad rep, I personally would like to see Weis come back.
Pros for Michigan: Michigan needs a recruiter, they need someone who is a rebuilder, Dick Tomey would be a fantastic fit. Michigan did very well last off season, they have to keep it up, look for the future. Michigan wants a guy that can make them a BCS worthy team in 3 years, its not gonna happen, you have to be smart with your players, don't over use them, Michigan's coach will need to be cautious with what he does, its a very fragile team that is on the verge of collapsing, there's only a shimmer of light. although It is a do able process.
Cons for Michigan: again, therey're very fragile, whoever is their coach better be ready. Michigan is gonna come prepared, but they need to take it easy on the new coach, they have to listen to what he says, he knows what's gonna be best, they're not gonna put some nut ball in as coach, that's not how they do it at the University of Michigan. The Coach will have to establish a spread offense to fit Tate Forcier's capability. It will be very hard but it will work out eventually.
Tate is losing his mind out there on the field, he seems lost. Michigan fans don't worry though, whoever the new coach may be they'll pull these bunch of wound up kids together. I'm hoping to here Hail to the Victors in Pasadena in at least 5 years.
Final Decision: Michigan wins Split Decision
