Notre Dame: Charlie Weis Will Get One More Year.

Charlie Weis will be back at Notre Dame for the 2010 season.

Why?

Well., there is no one else out there who will be worth getting , Gruden seams very happy and just signed a big contract.

Urban Meyer is the man they want, but he’s not available.

This situation might give Charlie Weis a life line to another year. as long as he can beat Stanford and win a bowl game of course.

Many were thinking this was a can’t miss hire, well, they were wrong.

 Where did this go wrong?

Everywhere! It was the wrong hire for Notre Dame, it was their second or third choice wasn’t it?

Am I wrong?

All done in the haste of getting Ty Willingham out of town.

So there should be a lesson learned, yes! even for the smartest administrators in the land , Notre Dame.

They should take a deep breath, turn a deaf ear to their fans (they didn’t do that with Ty) and give Weis one more year , that would give ND a chance to do a long term search for a new coach.

Who knows, Weis may turn it around in 2010, I doubt it, but hey! It is sports , anything can happen.
