The AFC West lead will be up for grabs on Thursday night at SoFi Stadium. The Los Angeles Chargers will host the Kansas City Chiefs, who have a one-game advantage in the division, in what should be a thrilling matchup to kick off Week 15 action.
This will be the second time the Chiefs (9-4) and Chargers (8-5) have played this season. In Week 3, Los Angeles notched a 30-24 victory in Kansas City. However, the Chiefs have won six consecutive games following a 3-4 start.
It's also a big week for fantasy football managers, as Week 15 marks the start of the playoffs in most standard leagues. But if you didn't reach the postseason, perhaps you want to dive into daily fantasy on Thursday night to try to win some cash.
Here's some DFS advice to help with your DraftKings or FanDuel lineups on Thursday night.
Herbert Should Be Your DFS Captain/MVP

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert comes at a hefty price for this matchup ($16,200 on DraftKings; $16,500 on FanDuel), yet he's actually the more affordable of the two starting QBs. The Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes will cost you a bit more of your budget ($18,000 on DraftKings; $17,000 on FanDuel).
However, Herbert has been the better fantasy performer of late. Over the past four games, he's thrown three passing touchdowns three times, and he's also had a trio of games in which he passed for more than 300 yards. He started a bit slow in 2021, but he's now putting up big numbers on a consistent basis.
Kansas City is going to be without some key defensive players as linebacker Willie Gay (reserve/COVID-19 list) and cornerback L'Jarius Sneed (personal matters) have already been ruled out. Defensive tackle Chris Jones is also in jeopardy of not playing after being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Meanwhile, Herbert will be getting his top target back with wide receiver Keenan Allen set to return after missing Week 14 on the reserve/COVID-19 list. So it should be a big night for Herbert, making him the best choice to spend up on as the captain/MVP of your DFS lineup.
Count on Kelce to Have a Bounce-Back Game

Travis Kelce may be the best tight end in the NFL, but that doesn't mean he won't go through slumps. And that's what he's in. He hasn't scored a touchdown in three of the Chiefs' past four games and has been held to 27 receiving yards each of the past two weeks.
However, Kelce had a big game in Week 3 against the Chargers with seven catches for 104 yards, and he could have a similar performance on Thursday. Mahomes has still been trying to get him the ball in recent weeks, so it should only be a matter of time before Kelce delivers a big performance.
Kelce is a bit more affordable than some of the top playmakers in this matchup ($12,900 on DraftKings; $12,500 on FanDuel), and he's capable of putting up the type of numbers that would make that price tremendous value. He's done that plenty of times before in the past.
Although Los Angeles has a solid secondary, Kelce is capable of overcoming difficult matchups. There's a good chance that will happen, so put him in your DFS lineup.
Guyton Is Boom-or-Bust Option Worth Playing

Jalen Guyton isn't likely to record a bunch of receptions in any game. But because of his big-play potential, he can still put up impressive numbers despite a limited amount of targets. That's been the case each of the past two weeks.
In Week 13, Guyton had four receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals. Then, he had three catches for 87 yards and a touchdown against the New York Giants in Week 14. Could he get in the end zone and produce more big plays in Week 15?
It's worth taking a chance on Guyton for DFS lineups, especially because of his affordable price ($7,200 on DraftKings; $9,000 on FanDuel). If Guyton connects with Herbert for a score for the third consecutive week, he'll immediately make that price worth it.
Go with Guyton over some of the high-priced wide receivers, as he could potentially give you just as many points, as long as he comes through with a big play or two.
