Notre Dame: Potential Candidates for the "Vacant" Head Coaching Position
The Top Five Candidates for the Notre Dame Head Coaching Job—if old Charlie doesn't make it into next season, that is.
Even if Notre Dame is bowling, then all signs point to Weis losing his job. And who will replace him, one of these guys. Included are the candidates, their positions (i.e. Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, Head Coach), and the team they are currently on with a brief synopsis.
No. 5—Bryan Harsin, Offensive Coordinator, Boise State

No. 4—Greg Davis, Offensive Coordinator, Texas

No. 3—Charlie Strong, Defensive Coordinator, Florida

Didn't expect to see him this early did you? But as of right now, I believe there are two candidates ahead of him.
Anyway, Strong has the best defense in the country, but with players like Brandon Spikes and Carlos Dunlap, you can't give him too much credit. Strong is 70-17 in his career as Defensive Coordinator at Florida.
Strong seems like the most likely candidate for the Irish, as long as Kansas doesn't pick him up first.
No. 2—WIll Muschamp, Defensive Coordinator, Texas
4 of 5
No. 1—Brian Kelly, Head Coach, Cincinnati Bearcats
