                       Wind of Change

A new excitement flows like the Autumn wind through Raider practice as Bruce Gradkowski takes command of the offense! Practice has a crisp energy lacking in previous weeks as players learn the ways of their new Qb.

"He's a different type of quarterback. You can't give up on a play when you're out there with him. He may start scrambling and then all of a sudden just heave the ball to you, so you have to be prepared and ready all the time." Darren Mcfadden.

Raider Nation has been calling for a change at quarterback for weeks as the losses mounted,  stories of a lazy, immature quarterback and obvious low team morale. Now that Al Davis has allowed Coach Cable to make the switch to "GMAN", team morale seems to have multiplied exponentially, accompanied by a new, exciting buzz rippling through Raider Nation!

So, what does GMAN bring to the Huddle?

" One, a passion for the game, a love for the game that he shows in the way he plays, the way he works on details of plays with players, in between (plays). I think that's the main thing I'm seeing with him. It's just, he's a get after it type of guy." Justin Fargas.

There are those who say that the Raiders should be starting Charlie Frye instead  of Gradkowski but there is near unanimous agreement by fans that Russell needed to be benched. When asked directly what he brings to the equation, Bruce replied....

"I would like to say I bring some leadership and command of the huddle, a little spice to the game, maybe a little athleticism. I'm just going to do what I'm coached to do, just run the offense." Bruce Gradkowski.

" Is that what the coaches will ask of you?" was the next question.

"Yeah, the coaches see that. They have confidence in me to get the job done. Like I said, I'm just going to do what I'm coached to do, just run the offense, put the ball in players hands and let them make a play." Bruce Gradkowski.

Coach Cable seemed satisfied and cautiously optimistic with the change.            "Bruce was very good this week in terms of going out and managing and throwing completions. I think that got everybody in rhythm, in timing." Tom Cable.

Coming into town Sunday is a very good Bengals team riding a hot streak that is going to be hard to stop no matter who plays quarterback, but I feel that we are going to see a lot different Raider team in terms of energy and determination. Now I call on the Raider defense to leave it all on the field and let's see just how good this Raider team can be. Win or lose the Raiders get a fresh new start in week 11.

The GMAN has entered the building !

                                              GO RAIDERS!!!
