Rams vs. Seahawks Picks, Lineup Tips for Daily Fantasy FanDuel, DraftKings

An NFC West clash is set to place at Lumen Field on Thursday night, when the Seattle Seahawks host the Los Angeles Rams.

There are plenty of players in this matchup who are likely to be included in fantasy football lineups. That makes it difficult to know which players to choose to have the most success in daily fantasy play. Both teams boast standout playmakers, and many of the top stars are likely to be included in a lot of DFS lineups. So winning Thursday's competitions may mean picking the right low-price sleepers to fill out DraftKings or FanDuel rosters.

The Rams and Seahawks both have talented offenses, so this could be a high-scoring affair. Even if you're not a fan of either team, this should be a fun matchup to watch. And if you don't have any Los Angeles or Seattle players in your standard fantasy league, you can still get in on the excitement via DFS.

Here's some DFS advice to help you fill out your lineup Thursday night.

Kupp Should Be Your DFS Captain/MVP

Cooper Kupp wasn't going to score a touchdown and put up huge numbers every week. After recording 367 yards and five touchdowns while leading the Rams to a 3-0 start, he slowed down in Week 4, notching five catches for 64 yards and getting kept out of the end zone in a loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Still, Kupp was targeted 13 times in that game, and he's had at least 10 passes come his way in every outing this season. He's the clear No. 1 option in Los Angeles' offense, which is unlikely to change considering how effective he's been in that role.

Expect Kupp to bounce back with a showing that resembles his Weeks 1-3 performance Thursday, making him the No. 1 player to build your DFS lineup around, even if he comes at a high price ($18,600 on DraftKings, $14,000 on FanDuel). His numbers, along with the 1.5x multiplier for those points, will make it more than worth it.

Kupp should get back in the end zone and put up some decent yardage against a Seattle defense that ranks 28th in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game (292.5).

Stafford Has Slight Edge over Wilson at QB

You can't go wrong with either quarterback in Thursday's matchup, as Los Angeles' Matthew Stafford and Seattle's Russell Wilson are both among the best at the position. And both teams' defenses have struggled to stop the pass through the first four weeks of the season.

However, the Rams are favored to win the game on the road, and Stafford ($17,100 on DraftKings, $16,000 on FanDuel) has been a bit more reliable and put up bigger numbers than Wilson ($17,700 on DraftKings, $15,500 on FanDuel). So with the QBs coming at similar prices, go with Stafford.

Stafford has impressed in his first season in Los Angeles, passing for 1,222 yards (fourth in the NFL), 11 touchdowns (second in the league) and two interceptions. He's thrown multiple touchdowns and had at least 278 yards in each of the Rams' first four games.

With a high floor, Stafford is a safe DFS play who has the potential to collect a lot of points if Los Angeles' offense is again clicking.

Swain Could Be Among Best Low-Cost Plays

Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf are the top two receivers on the Seahawks offense and are usually the best fantasy options. In Week 5, one of them is going to draw a tough matchup against Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey, so whichever one that is may have a difficult time making big plays.

Perhaps that will open some things up for another Seattle wide receiver, such as Freddie Swain. The 23-year-old is off to a solid start in his second NFL season, scoring touchdowns in two of the Seahawks' first four games, and he had five catches for 95 yards and a score in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.

Swain ($6,900 on DraftKings, $6,500 on FanDuel) got into the end zone against the San Francisco 49ers last time out. He's not getting a ton of targets, but his early success could lead to him earning a bigger role on Seattle's offense.

With Swain available at such a low price for DFS lineups, it's worth taking a chance on him, as that could be the move that helps you win a prize Thursday night.
