The Red Devils will welcome the Toffees to Old Trafford for Saturday's Man Utd vs Everton clash, evening hoping to get back to winning ways.

Manchester United fell to Chelsea 1-0 in their last match, after John Terry scored the only goal of the match with just under 15 minutes remaining. The match was otherwise a very tight affair that could have easily gone either way.

Prior to the match against Chelsea, Man Utd gave up an uncharacteristic three goals at Old Trafford against Russian outfit CSKA Moscow in the Champions League. The match finished 3-3, but after two games without a win, United will look to feed on a struggling Toffees side in this Man Utd vs Everton matchup.

Wayne Rooney continues to play confident football for both club and country, and the former Everton striker may well be the man to put his old club under the sword.

Everton

Everton recorded a much needed victory against West Ham two weeks ago.

Out of tradition, Everton usually do well against West Ham and, despite a depleted squad, the trend held true. The win was Everton’s first in the Premier League since September.

Injuries have ravaged David Moyes’ squad this season, yet again, as the Scottish manager has been without key figures for an extended period of time.

Players like Mikel Arteta and Phil Jagielka are yet to feature for Everton this season, while Steven Pienaar has been out for the majority of the season.

To make matters worse, Jagielka has suffered complications in his rehabilitation from a knee injury and will likely not return to the team until the new year.

21-year-old striker Victor Anichebe has also experienced a setback in his return from a knee injury as the worries mount for Moyes ahead of this Man United vs Everton football match.

Prediction

The teams drew two of the three meetings last season, with Manchester United winning the Man United vs Everton Premier League match at Old Trafford by a 1-0 scoreline. The reverse fixture at Goodison Park ended 1-1.

Everton recorded perhaps the biggest blow, however, when they beat United after penalties to reach the final of the FA Cup.

History doesn't look like it will be repeating itself on Saturday though, as the generally-impressive Manchester United side will enter this fixture against a struggling Everton outfit as strong favourites to win.
