Quinton Jackson! Maybe It's Best That He Retired?
Over the years Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has accumulated many fans thanks to his ruthless fighting tactics and aggressive slams! Since coming to the UFC Quinton has beaten some quality people such as, Marvin Eastman, Former Light heavyweight champ Chuck Liddell, The only man to hold two titles in PRIDE at the same time, Dan Henderson, Wanderlei Silva and Keith Jardine.
With his only loss coming in his third title defense, against Forrest Griffin. His fight against Keith Jardine however, I was very upset with "Rampage". Don't get me wrong, Jardine is a tough character with a lot of heart, but I feel like he isn't on the level of the elite fighters in the 205 divison. His biggest wins to date have to be his Knockout victory over Forrest Griffin and split decision victory over Chuck Liddell.
Where are those two now though? Forrest has lost back to back fights by knockout and even though I'm a HUGE fan of Forrest Griffin, but he really upset me in the Silva fight. I guess that shows just how good Anderson truly is. He took one of the toughest fighters in Forrest Griffin (or so people say) and made him look awful!!!
So Jardine taking Rampage the distance really took me by surprise. Maybe Quinton overlooked him and didn't think he would be that tough. Or maybe, Rampage just isn't that good anymore! He hasn't showed me anything special during TUF 10, besides that he doesn't care about his fighters and he hasn't even really trained for Rashad much during the show. At least Rashad has took some time to train for himself. Rampage is all about entertaining people in a humorous manner and not dedicated to fighting it appears.
Now that he's retired, and we eon't get to see the fight TUF 10 has been building up so much throughout the season between Rampage and Rashad, who do you guys think would win?
