Spartan Basketball has hit the floor...

Sports Illustrated has a good article out.. If you don’t subscribe, you should.. Still one of the best sources out there.. I get mine in the mail box weekly..

Michigan State Basketball has begun this week.. So its time to look at the SpartyMSU.com Big Ten Rankings…

This is going to be a great Season…  I was reclining in he Barcalounger watching the Gonzaga game.. Never rally felt the game was out of reach or at risk. Even though they were making turnover after turnover, and being out “physicaled” on the boards, they was a feeling that it was within reach…

Sure, I was gripp’en the beer can a little tighter.. but, I knew (or hoped)  the Spartans were going to stay within striking distance and then go in for the kill..

It was like this all last year.. in the Tourney.. Sort of an Izzo Darwinian plot against a the faithless  weakling fans and Alumni… Without the faith.. you’d need to start breathing out of a paper bag, if not just plain keel over. …

Concern 1 : Morgan’s ankle.. it just seems not quite healed.. when he went down with that twisted foot, headed in to the locker room.. Wasn't sure we'd see him back any time soon.  But, this kid can endure. He was taped up, lasces a little tighter, and back out on the floor. Man of Steel out there...

Concern 2: Turn off the turnover machine, look where your passing.  I am sure these wil be taken care of in short order...

Summers has turned out to be a stud..  And whos the big white kid, Garrick Sherman, I kind of like him.. he just might be good.

MSU: a solid, deep, talented team. We do miss Goran, but Coach Izzo has a good family of kids to support this year’s run. Kids like Herzog, Thornton, Sherman, Dahlman, and Kebler...

Green with the freshman Nix.. is a good mix….

All in all, From an Alumi/Fan perspective, I  like what is saw so far.
