Lebron James and Dwyane Wade Square Off In NBA Superstar Challenge
If your dreams of having superstars like Lebron James or Dwyane Wade on your roster this season, WAKE UP! The dream is over and your dream has come true thanks to the newest niche in the fantasy sports industry, "daily fantasy sports".
Just last night (11/17) contestants at 365fantasysports.com were entering different variations of the site's "NBA SuperStar Challenge". Let's be clear: this is fantasy basketball but with whole new twist that is fresh, lively, fast paced, high scoring and, potentially lucrative.
The Superstar Challenge is offered in 2 team (H2H), 4-team and 6-team variations. Buy-ins range from $6 to $110. So once you've decided how many other contestants you want to compete against and how much you want to wager to win the pre-determined payouts (ranging from $10 to $600) you're ready to go.
In these contests you are presented with ten draft rounds. Each round contains two superstars of the NBA. The match-ups in each round will change night to night depending on which teams are playing that night.
If you had entered one of these contests on 11/17 you would have been faced with the following choices in each of the draft rounds:
Round 1: Lebron or Wade
Round 2: Kevin Durant or Danny Granger
Round 3: Jason Thompson or Andrew Bynum
Round 4: Luol Deng or Trevor Ariza
Round 5: Chris Bosh or Carmelo Anthony
Round 6: Chauncey Billups or Tyreke Evans
Round 7: Brook Lopez or Joakim Noah
Round 8: Baron Davis or J.R. Smith
Round 9: Steve Nash or Amare Stoudamire
Round 10: Russell Westbrook or Ben Gordon
Clearly, the draft rounds were well thought out in order to make sure that each was as evenly matched as possible. There are many rounds where you wish you could add both players to your roster, but alas, you are only allowed to choose one per round.
The concept of selecting a roster literally right up to just before tip off of the first game of the night (usually around 6:55 PM eastern) and having your winnings deposited in your account by the time you are grabbing your first cup of coffee the next morning is one that both fantasy fanatics and sports bettors should both find attractive.
Keep in mind that the daily fantasy sports contests at 365fantasysports.com are 100% legal. 365 is US based. Deposits are credited instantly and withdrawals are sent via Paypal within hours.
Unlike traditional fantasy leagues where money is posted at the beginning of the season and not paid out until months later and where your roster will range from the best-of-the-best all the way through the 8th or 9th man on the bench, daily fantasy contests like the Superstar Challenge offer the chance for immediate payment of winnings and to utilize the top talent in the NBA on a nightly basis.
If the ten-round, two player per round format doesn't appeal to you there are several other contest types available. With everything from the three contestant, three player roster, "It Takes Three" to the diabolical "Point Cap" contests and several others in between, you would be hard pressed to not find a daily fantasy basketball contest at 365fantasysports.com that you won't enjoy.
Lebron. DWade. Kobe. CP3. They're all there waiting for you on any given day. How much longer before you start letting them enhance your fantasy basketball experience and start putting more cash in your pocket?
For the sake of full disclosure (and because it says it in my bio and on my shirt in my profile pic), I am one of the co-founders of 365fantasysports.com. However, this article (and my others) are written from your perspective... the NBA fan, the fantasy basketball guy, the sports bettor. I can say that because I am just like you. I'm the sports fan since I was able to walk, fantasy sports nut who likes to have a little action tossed in with my sporting events. We created this site for people just like you and me and we create each contest in such a way that we believe we will tantalize you, make you scratch your head, maybe even crack a little smile and give you the sense of "yeah... this site was made just for me."
