POSITIVES:

—Active player able to do well as deep safety and in the box.

—Does a good job tracking the ball in the air.

—Shows good timing when breaking on the ball and receiver.

—Good in run support. Fills running lanes well.

—Aggressive tackler. Throws body around and delivers a blow in tackles.

NEGATIVES:

—Open-field tackling. Dive tackler who can lose angles and also melted off some.

—Has good quickness and speed but lacks elite top-end speed.

—Man-coverage skills are a question.

OVERALL:

Davis is a bit on the shorter end for the safety position, and it shows at times. Though his ball skills excel with the ball in the air and when playing a receiver, his lack of length shows up in block destruction and tackling. With a slightly shorter frame and arms, it looks as if it is a contributing factor for when Davis melts off and misses some tackles. He has an aggressive play style where he supports the run well and throws his weight around on tackles.

Davis can play deep in a two high shell or come down in the nickel. His position versatility and run instincts look to be his best assets. There were times where Davis looked to be a step slow when covering. It's unfortunate he was not able to complete his pro day to help answer some of the questions on his movement ability. With that being said, Davis has had 3 plus seasons of film to evaluate at Florida.
