WWE: Bragging Rights Review

Fred HammerNov 15, 2009

Bragging Rights Wasnt That Good

I caught WWE's Bragging Rights just because it had a lot of similarities with the Wrestling promotion's "Smackdown vs. Raw" series. And I was pretty impresses with the lineup of undercard matches that appaered on this PPV.

The most interesting for me (and I guess the millions of fans out there) was the Team Raw versus Team Smackdown match. Degeneration X leads the Raw team headed by co-captains Shawn Michaels and Triple H. Meanwhile, on the Smackdown side, we see the action being led by the team of Chris Jericho and Kane.

Now I rarely watch the PPV's live as I usually just either download the said event off the Internet or I watch it online via streamming. But something about the Raw versus Smackdown match kept bugging me to watch it.

On that particular October day, I stepped out of my room, stepped away from my writing my research paper, prepared pizza and popcorn and watched the event live as it happens on cable.

While watching, there was a lot of things I did not want to see. Like some girls "fighting" and pretending to be hurt as well as the sheer predictability of the moves and sommersaults that was performed during the event.

Bottomline is, theres not a lot off things to see that they wouldnt offer on the small screen. The whole feel of seeing people hurt tends to become boring in after a few minutes. Nothing that would truly make me feel like watching it again. I missed sleep and I missed my research papers because of something that was more of a guilty pleasure rather than a neccessity.
