Get Carlos Rogers out of here!

Redskins cornerback Carlos “Stone Hands” Rogers, who has dropped more easy interceptions than you’ve had hot meals, has not had a good season. He’s gotten beaten deep despite giving virtually every receiver he faces 10 yards of cushion on almost every play. He’s also tackled poorly at times and certainly hasn’t played like a guy looking for a big pay day going into restricted free agency at the end of this season.
Today, he bit on a fake by Broncos WR Brandon Marshall and gave up a 40-yard touchdown pass. Marshall was so open on the play Rogers wasn’t even on the TV screen when Marshall crossed the goalline. I yelled at the TV screen begging for the coaching staff to finally bench Rogers. Surprisingly, they did. Rogers was sent to the bench and replaced by CB Fred Smoot, who wasn’t too bad in relief the rest of the way.
"“I was done for the game,” Rogers said afterward. “I don’t know if it’s for the year, or what.”
"
…
“I gave up the first one,” Rogers said. “It was a double-move. After that I didn’t play no more. After that, it was on whoever it was. I really didn’t pay attention.”
…
“It’s nothing new to me,” Rogers said. “Anything that happens around here ain’t nothing new to me. I went through it last year. I was benched after the first half of the season I had.
…
“I didn’t really worry about it, and I’m not really going to think about it. I ain’t even going to think about no future here.”
