Fantasy Football Week 2: Updated Trade Value for Top 100 Players
Early-season trades are always tricky. You don't want to give up on star players who you projected to have big seasons just because they have a bad game or two. Likewise, you don't want to pass up potentially great value players just because you didn't expect them to have breakout campaigns.
It's a delicate balance.
But that's where tools like the trade value chart can come in handy to help remind you of a star player's upside, or to evaluate the creeping value of those possible breakthrough stars.

Best Late-Round Draft Steals ‼️
As always, this is just a guide that doesn't take into account your specific team needs or league rules. Generally speaking it follows a standard PPR format to help formulate values. And to explain the values: If you are trading a player with a value of 10 you want to get back, at bare minimum, players who equal that valuation. So a player with a trade value of seven and one with a value of three, for instance.
Good luck this season, folks, and may the fantasy points be with you!

Analysis
Let's quickly start by looking at two wide receivers in uncertain situations, Michael Thomas and Allen Robinson.
Thomas' value is in flux, with reports that he could be out for several weeks with a high-ankle sprain:
He's the type of player who will likely try to play through the injury. But it's wise, at the moment, to avoid him in trades unless you can buy him on the cheap from a skittish fantasy player who is ready to bail on him. If you have him on your roster, don't panic sell. Smart fantasy players won't give you fair value given his uncertainty going forward.
Robinson is another fascinating player. At the moment, it looks like he and the Bears have patched up any issues after it was reported he wanted to be traded amid a contract dispute.
If trade rumors start heating up, however, Robinson is a player you should try to buy. He hasn't had the luxury of good quarterback play in his career—Blake Bortles and Mitchell Trubisky aren't exactly world beaters—and an upgrade at quarterback could make him a true WR1. It seems unlikely he'll be moved, but you should monitor the situation closely.
Let's turn to running back, often the most intriguing position in fantasy given the ongoing trend toward handling the position through committee. One player who seems immune to committee is Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who proved in Week 1 he has true top-five upside this year in Kansas City's explosive offense.
The Fresh Prince of Helaire is going to be huge this season. Book it.
Both Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines saw their value go up with the unfortunate season-ending injury to Marlon Mack this weekend. Taylor could finish in the top-10 range, while Hines looks locked in as a solid flex option due to his role in the passing game.
The Rams are far more confusing. Malcolm Brown was excellent in Week 1, leading the running backs in carries (18), rushing yards (79), touchdowns (two), receptions (three) and receiving yards (31).
You might want to spend to get Brown on your team, but this is still a committee situation:
Yes, it's possible that Brown will simply outplay Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson Jr. this season, earning the starting gig. But the Rams used a second-round pick on Akers for a reason—he's going to get his fair share of touches. For now, consider this a platoon situation and value each player accordingly.
