If he can get pass all that, Jon could be the savior Notre Dame is looking for, or not.

That is a tough place to coach, they have the biggest fan base in college football, you really do have to walk in water to be successful there.

The last ND championship was in 1988, back in the leather helmets day, ok! just kidding , anyway it’s been a long time.

Let’s see, 1988 to the presents, that’s about 100 years without a championship.

I don’t understand why it’s hard for a school that offers one of the best diplomas in the world, and I’m being serious now.

A ND diploma is a guaranteed future , we can all agree on that.

Why can’t they get the best recruits in the nation?

And please!

Don’t make the argument about how high the academic requirements are, there are plenty of honor students at Florida, Miami, Oklahoma and many other top teams.

There is something wrong here folks, the right hiring decisions are not being made, at least that’s what the last 18 years has shown.

Stats don’t lie.

Here is some interesting stats after the Holtz era:

Davie record at ND was 35-25

Ty’s                           21-15

Weis to present           35-25

Everyone of those records mediocre at best.

The winning percentages of those three coaches are about the same, but if coach Weis looses one more game, guess what happens!

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! Gomer Pyle style!

Lionel Tyrone Willingham will have the best winning percentage post Lou Holtz!

Go figure! No , I do mean go figure! get on the ND web sites and do the math , just in case you don’t believe me.

In a couple of weeks I’ll be able say "Ty is the best coach at ND in the last 18 years"

And you all ran him out of town.

You can’t make this up folks, I’ve been waiting 4 years to say this:

Al Asifyouknow was right! The hire of coach Weis and the firing of Ty was a bad idea from day one.

Enough said about that, now back to Jon Gruden!

Notre Dame need to hire Mr. Gruden, he could bring this program back to a national championship, he is young and can relate to young players.

Have notice how many young successful coaches there are?

Do you think that’s just luck?

The kids want to go and play for young or young thinking coaches. I don’t know coach Weis, so I can't say if that is one of the problems.

But facts are that even with all the recourses ND has they are still a middle of the road team.

You must agree, something is wrong.

Go Go Miami Canes!
