Rocket Mortgage Classic 2020: Round 1 Odds, Tee Times, Live Stream, TV Schedule
The second edition of the Rocket Mortgage Classic might contain a weaker field than the previous three tournaments since the PGA Tour's restart, but that only enhances the chances of an unexpected winner.
Although the field may not generate as much as buzz as the last few competitions, there could be plenty of drama and low scores on hand at Detroit Golf Club.
Bryson DeChambeau headlines the entry list as the favorite to win, but that has not been a title any golfer backed up in June.

However, the 26-year-old could be the perfect player to end the title-winning drought for pre-tournament favorites since he has been the best golfer since the resumption of the tour.
But there is also the chance that relative unknowns dominate the top of the leaderboard, as Nate Lashley did in 2019.

Preview
The two most notable threesomes for the first two rounds carry the best players in the field.
DeChambeau, who has the lowest scoring total in the last three weeks, will play with Patrick Reed and Hideki Matsuyama.
Reed has been a slow starter in the last three tournaments with two rounds of 70 and 68, and he used weekend surges for top-25 finishes at the Charles Schwab Challenge and Travelers Championship.
Matsuyama missed the cut at the RBC Heritage with two rounds in the 70s. He could improve in Detroit but may not be worth a wager until he produces lower scores.
Webb Simpson may be the biggest threat to DeChambeau since he is coming off a victory at the RBC Heritage two weeks ago. Given the lackluster form of Lashley and Rickie Fowler, the 34-year-old could stand out in his threesome.
Tyrrell Hatton and Viktor Hovland deserve consideration as potential winners since they have both played well since the restart. The latter finished in a tie for 13th in the inaugural Rocket Mortgage Classic.
Doc Redman, Rory Sabbatini and Brandt Snedeker are among the long shots to consider based off course history. They all placed in the top five beneath Lashley during the PGA Tour's first visit to Detroit Golf Club.
Of that trio, Redman might be the best one to consider as a long-shot outright winner and in prop wagers. The 22-year-old recorded seven straight rounds in the 60s and landed in the top 25 each of the last two weeks.
Since the last three tournaments have featured low scores and Lashley won at 25-under in 2019, the Rocket Mortgage Classic champion could be someone like Redman, who has been consistently in the 60s in recent weeks.
