This is the only position that Portland and any team is always worried about. The Hornets run as Chris Paul does. If CP3 gets his teammates involved, they play well enough to win. If we force him to shoot, then we should be able to handle this game. Neither Blake nor Miller will be able to guard Paul, but if they can continue the solid offensive contributions Portland can win the game. CP3 wins the match-up.

Brandon Roy is due for a big game and this feels like the one. With the point guards tied up, Roy will get a lot of the offensive duties tonight, and I expect him to succeed. Mo Peterson has recently had issues with Byron Scott, now the former coach. I expect him to return, but he's still a relative role player. Same goes for Posey, who is just another decent three point shooter. Rudy has also been hot from deep. I like the Blazer shooting guards tonight.

Martell and Travis continue to be solid compliments to the first and second line-ups. Neither has been a particularly large producer. That is much like Julian Wright, but not so much Peja Stojaovic. Peja has fared well against Portland in the past, and I expect more of the same as he comes of the bench and Outlaw is forced to guard him. Let's just hope Peja doesn't get too hot.

LaMarcus Aldridge is doing everything he can to help the Blazers win lately. From scoring to rebounding, he does a little bit of everything right now. In the past David West would kill the Blazers but I'm not so sure he can do it in this game. The Hornets are struggling, I see West getting frustrated in this game. With the coach gone, anything can happen. But I think it will be more negative than positive.

This is going to be a very tough match-up that is difficult to pick. Okafor has always been a solid player, but his numbers have been a bit down since joining the Hornets. On the other hand Greg Oden seems to be emerging. He's active on both ends of the court and the confidence is at an all time high. Oden against Okafor will be a huge test for Greg. He needs to establish himself defensively, and stay active offensively. I like our Blazer centers in this game.
