Cleveland Browns Fan Manifesto

I refuse to root for the other team in Ohio.  No matter who the Bengals play I still will root against them.

I refuse to acknowledge the fact the team is and has been a loser since it was brought back to Cleveland.  The only difference in a Browns and Bengals fan was that the Bengals fan knew they were a loser.

I refuse to acknowledge the Browns have never been to a Super Bowl. 1964 was along time ago and most haven't lived that long to understand the Browns victory that year was not a Super Bowl win.  Furthermore, never acknowledge it was a Paul Brown assembled team.

I refuse to acknowledge that this year's debacle in Cleveland is the biggest sports disaster in Ohio history.  I will defuse the fact with mundane statements about how many losses the Bengals have had over the years.

I refuse to acknowledge that meeting and rooting for a doomed team is not a life time goal.  However the Browns groups that continue to gather to discuss the team need a forum to come up with obscure facts to dazzle the occasional Bengals fan.

I refuse to acknowledge the green look of my skin is not left over from Halloween but is from true jealousy.  Don't ever admit that it seems the Bengals have built the foundation for a solid team.

I refuse to admit that no one knows how to reverse the mess by the lake.  Don't worry 1964 will never fade like the " interception" and the "fumble".
