Thoughts

* Marques Colston gets the top spot this week thanks to his incredibly favorable matchup. The Rams are among the worst defensive units against the pass, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to see them get torched early and often.

*  A healthy Calvin Johnson is one of the best receivers in the league, no matter who the opponent. The fact that he’ll likely be in a shootout against a weaker passing defense in the Vikings is just an added bonus. Of course, Matthew Stafford bouncing back from a five-interception day will be vital to his success.

* The Lions have been torched through the air over and over again, giving up an excessive number of TDs. It shouldn’t be a surprise to see Brett Favre and his new favorite target torch them all day long. The same thing could be said for Percy Harvin and Bernard Berrian, though probably not to the same extent. They can’t go too pass-happy, as you have to keep Adrian Peterson involved as well.

* T.J. Houshmandzadeh certainly has not lived up to the expectations his free agent contract brought, but the Cardinals defense could be a good solution to that.

* We all know that Roddy White is among the best receivers in the game, but his matchup makes it tough to count on him. For this week he’s more of a WR2, but that’s not going to be the case most of the time.

* It hasn’t taken Michael Crabtree very long to prove the type of talent he possesses, did it? It’s a shame he missed the first few weeks of the season, but by the time the season has come to a close, he’s going to have made everyone forget about that.

* Lee Evans and Terrell Owens have been disappointing, partly because they just don’t have a strong option throwing the ball to them. Of course, facing the Titans defense, this could be the week they finally shine. All of that will depend on Trent Edwards, unfortunately, but it’s a gamble worth taking.

* Will Anquan Boldin be back in the lineup for Week 10?  Considering how upset he was, according to reports, I’d be shocked to see him on the sidelines once again.
