Why Is Kobe Bryant Hated So Much?

      Why is Kobe Bryant Hated so much? That is a question that i constantly ask myself after reading comments on this website. All great players are hated, especially by rival fans, but Kobe Bryant is hated by an unusual amount of people. Is it because he is a threat to Jordan's legacy? Or is it because he is perceived as a arrogant, cocky ballhog? Its sad that one of the greatest all around players that this league has ever seen is hated by so many fans.

Kobe Bryant is also hated by many because he is perceived as the one responsible for the breakup of the Lakers earlier in the decade,even though it is widely known that an aging Shaq wouldnt take a lesser offer from Dr. Buss, and Karl Malone, and Gary Payton were only there for a short ride. A lot of people hate Kobe for his so called attitude. They must have also forgot that the immortal Michael Jordan had an attitude twice as bad. We are talking about a guy who punched Steve Kerr, and who killed Kwame Brown's confidence by calling him a flaming faggot, and who often yelled at his teammates if they couldn't play up to his standards. 

      I think the number one reason he is hated is because he is simply a great player. Everyone loves to hate a good player. Kobe Bryant breaks hearts every night he plays, especially if he happens to be playing against your team. I bet those same haters would be secretly thrilled,if they found out Kobe was traded to their team. Kobe Bryant is the best player of this decade and people aren't going to realize this until after he is retired simply because people don't recognize greatness until it is gone. So basketball fans, do yourselves a favor and stop hating the best player of this generation.
