Beating the Broncos.....
Ahhhh good to be a Spartan…

Western Michigan 0 0 7 7 14
Michigan State 21 14 0 14 49
You couldn’t have asked for a better weekend for Football on MSU’s campus. The weather was perfect, the tailgates with Bronco alums was a huge success, and to top it off, as The Enlightened Spartan has said in the past (http://enlightenedspartan.blogspot.com/ ), it was a Weekend Trifecta. The Spartans won, while Notre Dame and the Wolverines both lost…

After the two recent losses to Iowa and Minny , this was a nice breath of fresh air. You knew coming into the game the Spartans were going to extract a pound of flesh from who ever was on the schedule this week.. it was in the air.. you could sense it all week.. but they took more than a pound.. they took a couple Kilos out of the Broncos…
Its great to be in the stands for every Home game.. Best entertainment value in the State of Michigan… No matter the score is, its wildly exciting for the Spartan faithful. I was a little disappointed in the Broncos. I truly had thought they were a better team this year, and would provide a better matchup.
Wrong… Hiller receivers were dropping balls, seemed like wrong routes, and the Spartan “D” snuffed everything out before it got lit... not really Hiller’s fault, to his misfortune Western’s O” line didn’t give him too much time against a stronger push from our Spartans.
MSU ended the game on the Broncos 2 yrd line, first and ten.. Spartans took a knee as apposed to being unsportsman like and scoring again... Frankly, I think they should have drove it in...

Besides winning.. I didn’t see any Spartans get injured. Gives the Spartans a good chance to close out November on a winning track. Lets close out November with wins.

What I saw from the stands..
Finally Leggett got his day in the sun.. SpartyMSU had picked him to be the #1 back coming out of camp, so its nice to see him do so well. Ashton had 14 carries for 110 yrds, and 4 Tds.. Stud performance !
In our section, everyone was pleased to see Keith Nichol get a TD pass. The kid deserves it. Good to help his confidence, he is a talented QB, and its welcomed. Yes, Kirk Cousins is the #1 QB, but with such a skilled #2 behind him, it is comforting !
The Spartan Defense had a great Day.. Offense.. Special teams.. Coaching.. all around a good day on the Field.
Now.. with this mid season scrimmage out of the way.. there are two huge games to finish the season off with.. Purdue in West Lafayette, and JoePa coming into Spartan Stadium on Nov. 21.
Great to be a Spartan..
Sparty On !!!
