World Champions Thumped by the Dutch!
Well we said Netherlands were on form but a huge win over Italy shows they're in remarkable form.
3-0 is the scoreline of a great win by any means.
The first goal happened in the 26th minute when Ruud van Nistelrooy side-footed Holland into the lead. Holland's confidence seemed to grow from there. We could say that the goal was offside and I thought it was along with other football pundits.

Nevertheless it was a goal that put Holland in the lead.
Soon after Ruud's Real Madrid colleague Wesley Sneijder doubled Holland's lead. It wasn't looking good for the world champions.
After this Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar kept Italy at bay with some amazing saves.
It surely looked that Holland were home and dry and then settled it with a header from Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Holland can now look in confidence toward the France game on Friday, surely they will go through if they win there.
It is looking up for the Netherlands.
Could it be their year?
