Thanks Notre Dame for turning back the clock to my growing-up days at the Naval Academy when the Middies would dominate Notre Dame.

Brought back an instant memory when one of the Middies told me:

"We're thinking about dropping Notre Dame from our schedule—we only play varsity!"

The problem is that Notre Dame doesn't have enough talent. Notre Dame doesn't have enough high school All-Americans. Notre Dame hasn't had enough top five recruiting classes.

How'd it taste, Irish?

You got a solid dose of Navy and you got it at home in front of 80,000 of your fans. That's 80,000 wondering what the heck happened.
